Flight Of The Conchords – I Told You I Was Freaky

Merging comedy and music will always be a difficult task, to keep both genres in tact whilst still being humorous and musically sound is an amazing talent.
Flight Of The Conchords, with the release of their self titled 2008 debut however, proved that acts such as Tenacious D are not the only ones out there who possess this amazing talent.
With the massive success of their critically acclaimed HBO series, from which the debut tracks were taken, success was guaranteed
Their second album however, I Told You I Was Freaky, is not such a triumph.
The pressure of following up such a successful debut clearly affected the quality of the album, with it consisting mainly of track after track of un-humorous, monotonous and boring R&B and Hip-Hop.
This album I believe is a let down, both musically and comically, it may be a harsh truth for some, but unfortunately this album doesn’t quite measure up to its predecessor.
